Newport Preschool Center

Children Inc. partners with Newport Schools to offer Newport families a full day preschool program with optional care before and after school. This program is rated a Three STAR center by the Kentucky Kids Now Initiative and has been operating since 2002. This program offers the same great quality and care and follows the same eight Quality Curriculum Components as the rest of Children Inc.’s early childhood programs. This program is dedicated to getting children ready to succeed in school. Any three or four year old student can attend Newport Preschool that lives in the Newport Independent School District. Children may attend Newport Independent Schools or Head Start half-day and Children Inc. the other half day. We care for children of the staff of Newport Independent school system as well. All 4 year olds must first register with the Newport Welcome Center before we can enroll them at the Newport Preschool Center unless they attend a Head Start program. Head Start and Children Inc. coordinate half day student enrollment independently from the Welcome Center.
