Peaslee Child Care Center

Description

Peaslee’s Child Development Center was established in 1999 as an educational resource for neighborhood families. At full capacity the Center serves 61 students ages six-weeks to twelve-years old. This program not only provides day care services but also emphasizes school readiness through an intense literacy-based curriculum. More and more research is showing us that for young children learning to read and write-literacy-is an ongoing process that begins in infancy. Reading and writing do not wait for kindergarten or first grade. At Peaslee our goal is that students will develop their natural curiosity their ability to ask questions and share their learning experiences. And most importantly they will have a sense of self-esteem and confidence as they enter kindergarten.
